The Edit PDF tool uses PDF.js to render your PDF pages as canvas elements in your browser. You can add text (click the T button then click where you want), draw freehand, add rectangles, and highlight content using the toolbar. When you click Save, all edits are rendered and embedded into the PDF as image layers.
The browser-based editor adds annotations on top of existing PDF content. True editing of existing PDF text requires server-side processing. To replace existing text, you can cover it with a white rectangle and add new text on top using the Edit PDF tool.
